NEED ADVICE: Fault Code 27CD. DMTL Fault.

Need advice I got a BMW 2004 E60 M54. I got Service Engine soon light I Ran a scan and got the Fault Code 27CD. DMTL Fault. i went to add Gas and got only a half a tank
when it began to pour out.
Not Gas Cap because it has been replaced.

Is this related to the DMTL ?

I was going to say you'll have better luck getting an answer in the BMW forum but there are exactly 4 posts over there.

This is the Porsche technical forum though so...
