My 1989 Carrera originally came from Switzerland and therefore has a KMH speedo - not strictly legal in the UK. A guy nearby is selling a 1989 911 Turbo LE MPH speedo (goes up to 180mph) part number 437.201/001/020. Will this fit/work correctly in my car??

Nathan, Are you saying that a KPH speedometer is illegal in the UK and you are looking for a MPH speedometer? I thought England was on the metric system...

Yes, UK is metric, apart from speed, for some reason. We're Brits after all, so we have to be different! (like driving on the left!)
Although you can "get away" with a KPH speedo if you have a friendly MOT tester, it's not legal. I'm also fed up of trying to remember the conversion in my head, so yes, I need a MPH speedo. I just know I'm going to get caught out in a speed trap sooner or later. Nathan

They are pretty easy to pop out and install. Why don't you pop yours out, check out and compare the electrical connectors, if they match, have him let you try it out. Otherwise, contact the dealer for this one.
