Weber air correction jet holders; They are a good thing!
I just finished another little project to help make life a bit easier for me during jetting changes on my Webers. I have been able to be OK with the typical array of "Down Hole" tools to install/remove the air correction jets for the 40IDA3C Webers but recently I nicked the main gasket surrounding the air correction jet which later came loose and allowed the small bit of gasket to be ingested through the emulsion tube and deposited on the idle jet. Since I have air screens over my emulsion tube wells to exclude little bits of junk, this item really irritated me. I decided to make an extended jet holder that allows jets to be held in the tube which can be installed, tightened & removed without thew tiny tool set I normally use.
![]() Picture of my air correction jets and their extended holders. The jets have split ends that hold the jet in the holder just like the idle jets. ![]() As-installed on an available carb, the top has a 8mm hex so it is easy to grasp & torque. ![]() My set of "Down Hole" tools. The emulsion tube is easy to remove with the piece of wire with the upset end detail. The other tools are now obsolete when working on my Webers. I think future versions would revise the jet to be more like my idle air correction jets.

Nice work, Paul!!
I've had excellent luck using a toothpick to extract the emulsion tube after removing the air corrector jet, but that looks like it works, too!
