Reuse of main bearings
I inadvertently mixed up the where the big end rod bearings went on the crank after disassembly. They have less than 5K miles on them. I tend to think that with this small amount of miles that they should work in any location and just continue to wear into the proper pattern for their new location. Am I missing something?

Do your self a favor and dont reinstall them, you have it apart and for the price of new you will sleep better at night, I race stock cars and we replace the bearings anytime we have the crank out, Kevin

I agree. After the bearings have "crushed" you really don't want to use them anywhere else. Sure, they might work fine, but is it worth a full teardown if they don't?

Me too - I agree. Bearings are relatively cheap...
