Question Ignition wires - recommendations?

Looking for recommendations on replacing the ignition wires on my '85 Targa. As best I can tell, they are the original ones put on in Stuttgart.
I've searched the archives and prior posts are inconclusive at best.

Its purely a stock, non-racing car.

OEM/Magnecor/others?

Why are Magnecors $100+ less than an OEM wire set? As best I can tell, they're both shielded, etc. I'm not looking to take $$ away from PP (I'm going to order most everything from PP - plugs, cap, filters etc.) but want to understand from those more knowledgeable than me on ignition wires.

TIA

I also would like to know if the OEM wires from a 70 2.0 would work well in a 77 2.7. I have a new set from the 70 and am thinking of putting them in my 77 when required.

Just wondering if they work?

I picked up the 8.5mm Magnecors 2 years ago for about $135.
They are not a direct fit for the '84-'89 Carrera spacers. They say you can squeeze them in there, but it appears to be too tight for my comfort. You'll need to either drill out the factory plastic ones (What i did), or find an alternative method.
I don't think you can find a better alternative for the money.
