Dumb question about the rubber flap inside the fuel door
My car is a 1971 911T. I ordered the rubber flap that goes inside the fuel door but I can't really find a photo of how it goes in on the net .. My guess is that the larger part of the flap would hang down to protect the car and a short piece of the flap would protect the inside of the door.. I originally thought the smaller hole somehow went onto the small vent pipe.. That didn't look right so I guess that is there as a drain hole? Obviously my car didn't have that in place to go by..

Yep - it flops out to protect the fender. The small part flops over to protect the washer filler cap. There is a drain hole at the bottom edge of the filler hole.
