H-4 mystery (for me)?
Morning guys,
I got a little surprise this morning when I pulled the trim ring on my H-4 to effect a rubber seal change. I found another trim ring underneath, this one chrome? Further, the phillips screw in the 2 o'clock position simply turns either way with no apparent stop. Is this an adjustment screw? How do I remove the headlight, the screw at 6 o'clock is already out? Is the chrome trim ring loose too and just pressure fixed? Thanks, Scott ![]()

The chrome ring is part of the headlight assembly. The screws at 2:00 and 8:00 are adjustment screws for aiming the headlight. The headlight is supposed to be held in with a screw at 6:00 and the trim ring is held in with a second screw at 6:00, that screws into the center of the first screw. If you have only one screw holding everything in, your light is installed incorrectly. Once the screw at 6:00 is out, pull the bottom of the light down and forward, then rotate the whole assembly up to release it from the lip on the top.
