Another, what is this and where does it go?

Curious if anyone can help me figure this one out. Found this piece under the carpet in the frunk of my recently acquired 87 Carrera. Not sure where it goes. Thanks.

Under the sunroof access zipper.

Thanks. Seems it was found a long way from home. Is it pretty obvious how it fits in there?

There should be two. They cover the sunroof motor. Mine were water logged and mildewed to hell. Completely unsalvageable. I've been looking for a pair for a while. I think they are NLA so take care of them.
