Thanks for your response to my earlier post under the 82SC engine compartment blower. My current problem is removal of the squirrel cage from the motor shaft. The Squirrel cage is a fricton fit on the shaft and the shaft is threaded and the squirrel cage a slight friction on the shaft held in place by the nut. There is no obvious way to grasp the shaft allowing the nut to be removed - grasping the squirrel cage and tuning the nut causes the shaft to slip within the squirrel cage. Can't get to the rest of the motor because of the metal housing - can't remove the metal housing until the squirrel cage is off the shaft. Any thoughts??
Thanks to all - this group is Great!! - Take Care |
