I was planning to take the P-car today but the roads in Rhode Island are full of salt and sand. We got 6" inches of snow here yesterday. Uhhhhhhgggg! We'll, it least the food will be good and plentiful. Have a good one.

Out in the garage this morning continuing the under hood respray and smugglers box cleanup.
Then off to the inlaws this afternoon for turkey. Which one of these events is more exciting? Happy Thanksgiving and god bless!

Took my brother in law out in the P-car today. Out in the country roads of Atlanta burbs. I let him drive it
He sure got up on it. He was having a blast in 4th gear at about 95mph on the twisties. He keep saying I can not believe this car is 21 years old Its been a great day so far.Grey 81sc Targa |

Hope everyone is with some folks they care about this holiday.
My Carrera got new rear shocks this morning... before my cooking duties started (pork loin on the grill... yum). Had to replace the Koni Sport adjustables because they were leaking. I noticed a thumping noise every time I went over a bump, then saw the fluid running down the side of the shocks. They were only 3 years old. Good thing Koni has a lifetime warranty. They ship you replacements (after you give your credit card number), then you ship your old ones back after you swap them out. If they're bad, you're even. If they're not bad, you pay half price and keep the new ones. If you don't ship them your old ones, they charge you full price. Not a bad deal.

-lot's of 911 content-
Thanksgiving started at midnight, as I was playing a gig. The power steering pump in the 4-runner died last weekend, so the 911 was assigned to haul my gear. As such, Turkey day started with a 2am cruise home from the San Fernando valley...clear skies and about 55F. Then it continued with a 6:15am alarm and into the 911 for some dawn surf at Zuma. The drive up PCH was great, light winds and sunny. Arrived at Drainpipes to find 3-5' hollow sets and perfect conditions...tide right, light offshore with glass. Finally piled back into the 911 for the drive back after 2 hours in the water and my fill of tubes. Of course then it turned ugly as the wife was pissed I went surfing instead of staying home and cleaning and letting her go for a jog. Of course I said she could do that now, but you know how *that* goes...she wanted to do it before her coffee, blah blah blah. Might have to take the car out again this afternoon to pick up my dad from the train station. Other than the episodes of "marital bliss", the day is going gangbusters! |

Happy Thanksgiving everybody. Yep, much to be thankful for. Evern & Ruki called earlier, and we're so thankful they are okay, looks like they'll get to sample some of John's fried Turkey too.
![]() Cindy & just hanging out, watching football, eating good stuff. Oh, those of you watching the Lions game? Joey Harrington, their rookie QB...last year he wore a U 0f Oregon "Ducks" uniform. Hope everybody has a great day, no matter what they do...

Actually, it's my birthday today [34]. I was born on thanksgiving day as well, and it falls on T-day every now and again.
In any case, I don't see a 930 in my parking spot this morning, and I'm a little bummed. Not that any human could deliver one or would, but I had invested extra effort into asserting the possible existence of an omniscient being and asserted the very distinct possibility of some kind of afterlife in which one's consciousness is continuous through death and into a new life, yet I still do not see the car. I never see 930s folks. I see 993s, Carreras, 996s. I see 356s. But I never see 930s from the 70s and 80s. I really want one. It would be so cool, I just can't even imagine it. I can just see myself cruising around in it too....over and over, I envision this....
