944 turbo wheels on 911SC

I have found some 16x7/8 fuch wheels off of a 944 turbo near me. I was wondering what was needed to make these fit on my 78 911SC? I am looking at charts and see the offset significantly different. Do I need large spacers for this fitment? Thanks in advance!

944 7x16 will fit the same as 911 7x16, the difference is in the center area dimensions to provide more brake clearance on the 944/951

the 944 8x16ET23.3 have more inboard o/s than 911 8x16ET10.6, to use the 944 wheels on the back of an SC/Carrera use 23.3 - 10.6 = 12.7mm spacers though you can go thicker for a more aggressive fitment.

Some try to use the 944 8x16 on the front of a 911 but it's not a happy or comfortable fit.

Thanks Bill! Do you know what an aggressive spacer would be? I really want the back wheels to sit flush on the fenders.

max front space at the rear of an SC/Carrera is ~4.5"(114mm), the tire used is also a factor
for 225/50 a 29mm spacer will be around the max
for 245/45 a ~19mm spacer will be around the max

I'd keep a little less than max as max entails lip mods and suspension constraints.
