Anybody DIY covered a FG dash?
Wondering if anybody has covered one of the FG "race" dashboards with 4 way stretch vinyl in their garage and installed in a street/track car? Did the final product turn out OK and fit decent with out too many hours? Love to see some pics.

At 800 bucks for a dash that needs TLC and 1800 bucks for a new dash, I'm in the same boat. I've seen ones made from ABS plastic as well, with a little bit of fitting and properly covered it would be 1/3 the cost.
For a track or DE or even a driver quality car, I'd be happy with that. |

I think the ABS you have seen is a cover. Mine is so bad the cover would not even fit. But I have seen the CF and FG dashes and I think with some elmers glue and a yard of vinyl i might have 90% of the look for 25% of the cost and I can get rid of the AC vent that has not been hooked to anything for a decade...Plus its reversible.
There is the safety thing - the OEM dash will deform if your body hits it in a wreck...but I am beyond that I think.
