VIN replacement choices...
I see that there are two (that I could find) VIN replacement sources here on Pelican,
https://decalrestore.wordpress.com/ and Car-Bone.pl - Flatsix Design Apparently, unless I haven't seen or read otherwise, the basic difference seems to be price and delivery. Does anyone have any good or bad experience with either? I need to replace the VIN sticker as I am having some rust repair done to my '74 and am wondering who might be the better of the two to order from or deal with, if there is one. I appreciate all feedback and appreciate your patience with me. I'm still kind of a newbie. Ross-

VIN Decal
Hello
I have used Pawel's of Car Bone work on several occasions and the decals are fantastic. He even did a backdated (from black to silver) VIN decal for a backdated 1984 Carrera-turned-to 1972 ST that came out wonderful as well. I can't comment on anybody else's work since those are the only VIN decals I've purchased. Car Bone is a great source for fast, professional quality work. (Sorry to sound like I am related, but no. I'm just a fan of his work) MD

VIN Decals
Hi Workhorse...I, as numerous other Pelicans, have used Decal Restore. They are not made by a printer and the detail of them is truly amazing. Actual molds are made then printed, punched VIN number, including the older security circles.
Their decals are genuinely a concours item. I know that restorers use them, including a few of Pelicans staff have purchased them. They are highly rated... Porsche, a few years ago stopped selling the VIN decals for older 911's. At the time Porsche wanted $350.00 (US) for them. I see that Car-Bone can make them in two days. Decal Restore due to their method will take much longer. I would say that your choice will likely be dependent on the condition of your car. Hope this is help to you.

Thanks all for the responses, all great information.
The reason I ask is that Decal Restore is $250 IIRC and his competitor is $75 IIRC. Is the difference in overall appearance and quality that paramount to be 3X as expensive? I am curious. The photos I have seen of each seem to be nearly identical and I can't seem to tell the difference. I appreciate any photos or explanation. I am still fairly new to these things. Thanks. Ross-
