				Cold Start Issue 911 1974 Targa -

Hi guys I am in the process of restoring a 1974 911 Targa. I have noticed that when cold starting I have to pretty much prime the fuel pump by taking off the air filter and lifting the sensor plate every time. I have cleaned the WUR which had a clogged mesh filter. I have also installed a new fuel filter. The fuel pump makes an ungodly noise at start up as well but the car refuses to start until I prime the pump via the sensor plate. Any suggestions as to whats the likely culprit ...new fuel pump ?.. Regards Daren Note I have duplicated my post so sorry ... Main post is at link is the next response. Last edited by AusPorscheGuy; 11-27-2015 at 02:30 PM.. | ||

I put a marine primer bulb in front of the fuel pump. Squeeze and go
