I've been reading through some of the old posts and they talk about cleaning different parts of the engine with a pressure washer. My transmission is covered with about an inch of goop and I wanted to clean it off. Can I use a citrus type cleaner and then use the pressure washer on it. If so, is there anything I should be aware of. If no, how else can I clean it?
Thanks ahead of time,

Dennis,
I used Simple Green full strength and a stiff nylon brush (went through about 3) when I cleaned the oily build-up on my engine, it did a super job! I had to repeat the cleaning in some places....used water to wrinse off the oily mess. Don't be in a real hurry, the more you can scrape off with a putty knife or screw driver etc. the easier the job is. You could try spraying the trans with Simple Green or similar products, (full strength) let soak for 20-30 min. then use a high pressure sprayer, this will help save some elbow grease when you have to scape what is left. There really is a clean, bright trans under all that goop!! Go for it! J.R. |

Just read the other post.... Oil Eater is the stuff I liked....seems better than Simple Green.
