turn signal indicator question
 

Hello, just working out some small issues my 1976 911 targa has. My question is when I use the turn indicator switch the turn signal light in the dash gauge lights up once on the direction I want, but then both arrows blink after that. I was just wondering if that is correct or do I have something wrong possibly a bad relay. Thanks for all the help that everyone has given me!!

Possibly a bad ground at the gauge or at the relay.
