Happy New Forum Member - 88 Carrera

Hey Everyone, excited to be able to finally buy my second 911 last month. Found a beautiful 88 Carrera Coupe, one owner , all original (except the euro tail lenses) survivor out of LA. Still can't believe I found one in such great condition. 97k miles.

My second Carrera, had a red 84 when I was in my late 20's, although I loved it, did not appreciate like I do this one, age does that do you I guess.

Anyway, back to the 88, spend the first weekend doing a full detail on the car, polish, wax, interior, now she shines like she is new. Only small issues I am working on is that one headlight had rock chip/hole in it (ordered from our host), speaker replacement (originals turned to dust), and now some intermittent cutting out from the factory blaupunkt on the right speaker channel.

Anyway, thanks in advance for all the helpful advice. This is a great group of folks.

such a classic color- enjoy it. I recently did same thing and purchases an 87 Targa in diamond blue over Linen, 74K miles, same condition as yours. Had a coupe before and wanted to try something different. the coupe is the best interns of structural integrity but in atlanta, top off is really great.

definitely change the brake fluid if it hasn't been done in 2 years and check all the brake lines to be sure they in good condition and drive drive drive!
