Driver's seat bearing
Hi,
My seats has quite a lot of movement from left to right and the previous owner mentioned that some of the wheel bearings were lost. Is it true that the seat rails have wheel bearings? Is this a typical problem with these seats? I appreciate any suggestions how to fix this as the seat doesn't feel stable during cornering. It is properly bolted. Thank you. 76 targa

There are no "bearings" that I know of in the seat sliders. I'd suggest taking out the 4 bolts of the wiggly seat and looking at it outside of the car. Should be easy to do.
At least it is with my 87's seats. Maybe a weld has broken somewhere underneath.

Seat Roller
I had a set of seat sliders that had 4 ball bearings per rail (I think most do - but I wouldn't call them wheel bearings, seats definitely don't need those...) - if one ever got out of the rail I imagine it would have wobbled.
The balls ride and slide back and forth in a small channel on the inside of the rails. Mine wore a few divots in certain positions of the rail - I suppose from where the the seat was normally positioned. My guess is that your seat sliders are shot. Gordo
