Any ideas on this LWB part?

Does anyone know if someone sell just the support brackets (outlined in red) without the exterior bumper piece? I have a metal license plate panel and want to pair it with glass bumper pieces. Thanks.

Yeah, checked them and they only showed the entire piece. I sent them a message anyway.

Thanks .

I've seen the horizontal piece in glass, but never the vertical piece with the screw holes. Got any ideas on who may have them?

Trent, to the best of my knowledge, no one makes the vertical piece that holds on the bumperettes and center panel. The horizontal is available to attach the entire RS bumper, but because the bumperettes and panel are molded in, there's no reason to make the vertical.

Shaun, I am afraid you are correct. My options are to buy the metal bumper pair ($1k-ish and I am already waaaayyy over budget) or fab something. Unless someone I know near Boston has a set that is trashed and for sale and cheap. (hint, hint).

I think your options are:

2 new rear factory RS quarter bumpers: $1560

Buy good 69-73 quarters and flare them...A great pair will run $500...how much will your body shop charge to flare them?

Find a pair of trashed bumpers that have good mounting supports, $250 or so.

Do you need both sides or one side? I will have to see what I have in my sheet metal farm but I know I have exactly what you are looking for but only one side, and not sure which, so let me know.

Budget? You have a budget? What's a budget? You can't go over what you don't have.

You can get it in aluminum, but they are silly expensive for what they are

Need both sides. Thanks Shaun.

I have a set.
Not sure if they are lwb or swb. (and if there is a difference)
Will have a look and post a few pics.
The downside is that they are in South Africa!
Happy to ship them internationally.
Cheers,
Matthew

Matt and Shaun,

Thanks, but sit tight for now. I was contacted by another Pelican (JJ in NorCal) last night with some pictures of a pair of slightly bastardized quarter bumpers, but with brackets that look like they will work perfectly. Hoping to send him payment today.

Thanks JJ, Shaun and Matt. And thanks Wayne for hosting such a great community.

P.S. Restoration Design confirmed they won't/can't sell JUST the brackets as their quarter bumper part is sourced from Dansk.
