I've had my valve covers off for 3 days...
Is this a problem? Stored in a garage, no dust, but can rust settle in? '83 SC.

Not a problem at all. I've had them off for months at a time and am sure others have done the same.

Everything inside should be well lubricated

Valve covers off
I would be concerned about little creatures finding their way into the case....I would never leave an engine in a garage of any kind open after it has been sealed up and Torqued...

However, I would be ok with letting it lay wide open, long time (weeks) , with the engine lid shut. Lubed up? It's already lubed. Subjective variable is do you have a historical rodent problem? Spiders and bugs? Engine will take car of them.

Worry about stuff that will really cause damage. Three days is nothing! And unless you live in a rodent infested zoo, no worries about that either, LOL.
