Looks like its part of the wiring harness. Guess Ill just have do do the best I can. Was working fine when I had to remove engine to fix head stud...

Be careful if you try fixing that wire, it's a shielded wire, a center conductor with a outer shield. DO NOT accidentally solder or allow the shield and the center conductor to touch each other! Had a car that had this wire repaired and they soldered the shield to the center wire! Took 2 days to figure out why that engine kept running rich!

Louie85 is a member here that makes a replacement kit for the O2 sensor. Not 100% sure it is the same on the '84-'89 cars but you might check with him.
