Need California based 911 engine builder tuner with Rolling Road / Dyno
Hi,
We would like to find a California based 911 engine tuner to conduct independent testing of our CDI+ unit against the Bosch Unit. The CDI+ units will be free issued. The shop must have a calibrated dyno or rolling road. Ideally they would have access to a good selection of engines/cars. 1969 to 1983 and later Turbos if possible. Any recommendations or volunteers? Cheers, Jonny |
Talk to Vision Motorsports, Laguna Hills, in Orange County, they have a dyno and expertise. Email: roland@visionmotorsports.com

^ Thanks!
Do they have a dyno / rolling road? Can't see one on their website but I guess they might use someone elses. Need a few more. Anymore recommendations? |
As I wrote above, they have a dyno.

^ Sorry, my bad, I wasn't clear. Might be lost in UK/US translation.
In the UK a dyno generally means an engine test bed (no car). 'Chassis dyno' we call 'rolling road'. Which sort do they have? |
I would highly recomend kevan Murray in willows at MCE Racing.

In the States we say dyno and engine dyno. Most have dynos. Few have engine dynos.
You might try Steve Wong. Given his chip tuning business he may be one of the best possible to help you with the data you need. Though it could also conflict with other vendors he works with or he might be too busy to help you. Worst thing he can do is say no, so it never hurts to ask. |
Vision has chassis dyno.

I can recommend quite a few builders, but before I do, what would be in it for them? I want to recommend those that might be interested.
Can you provide more information on your product/prototype and what you are trying to achieve? |
