Not sure if you have the same VDO quartz clock in that thing, but if so here you go:

Do you mean to tell me the clock worked?

I've owned many P-cars and found the clocks to be a space taker - NONE of mine have EVER worked!! Having chased down that path a few times without success, now I wear a wristwatch!

good luck - pls document what you find if you ever find it!!

No relay, same power feed on black wire as the glove box lamp.

There is a good chance the capacitors in the clock are leaking and need to be replaced. I sent mine to The Clock Works in Eagle River Wisconsin and had great service with a fast turn around time for less than $100. There are others that advertise on the internet.

I will ask the obvious... Have you tried providing 12v to the clock and it works? Meaning, running 12v directly to it.

Are you testing the 12v on the existing wire harness correctly?

^^This^^

Please let us know if your glove box light works.

The closest diagram I can find shows a connector between the fuse and the clock/glove box light. If that connector is separated, no power to clock but also no power to the glove box light either.

Also goes to trunk lamp and then to interior lights.
I just repaired someone's '88 turbo harness that had a melt down of that circuit.
Black wire runs from fuse panel to clock to glovebox lamp to trunk light and then to interior lights.
Doubled up black wire at clock location should have 12 volts if fuse is good.
