Nice.

Talk about a guy with little imagination....

Pics don't do those colors justice, they're even better in person.
Rudy's a great guy and always has something new. |
Congrats to the guy for putting together a great bunch of cars. Well done
|
Nice video. Sounds like a great guy and generous with his collection to offer to show it. Is he close to Dallas?
|
What a well done video. I sold Rudy a 930S replica,(Pelican), steering wheel a year or so ago that I had listed on Craigslist and he mentioned he had 25 plus 911's but it did not sink in until I saw this. He was really great to deal with and very humble about the collection.

Does anyone know Rudys Pelican/Rennlist handle?
|
Sweet collection; nice guy!
|
I didn't see any long hoods. There was a green targa at the end that may have been but I can't be sure.
|
Rudy is cool.. enjoying himself with his toys!
Go Rudy! |

His collection is incredible and pretty well diversified. He does have a longhood - a 68 Irish Green 912 soft back targa. I think that's the only one....and even has a few BMW 2002's.
|
Nice video, seems like a great guy.
|
Is the owner here ?
|
I still don't know what to make of any of it. As soon as I heard him wanting one of every color I asked myself, why? Why not one of each series, or a turbo from every year, or a coupe, targa, cabrio from each model run, but every color? He may be a great guy with a collection to envy, but I just don't get it. Maybe I am not supposed to.

Rudy (OPO on RL) is a good guy, very passionate and humble. |
All the good collections have a focus. Rudy has one. He's living the dream and I love it.
Here's a recent article I did on starting a collection. Enjoy. Richard Newton |
Seeing that I am local, I've been meaning to hook-up with Rudy for a while, so hopefully soon with the Holidays here. I look forward to meeting him.

I really enjoyed watching this and totally get Rudy, it makes me feel normal to see someone with obsessive compulsive behavior putting it towards something that can be shared for the world to enjoy with them. In my case, I also look at it as a part of my retirement nest egg turned into something tangible I can enjoy and so far it seems to be a good investment if I choose the cars carefully. Here's my own collection, or as I joke, my "precious metal portfolio" and it reflects 25 years of restoration work: http://www.darrylsgarage.com

Why can't people just appreciate a true car enthusiast and his passion? Just because it's something you wouldn't do doesn't make it wrong. Rudy is one of the most genuine, kind, and giving people you could ever meet. Very humble with a true passion for Porsches. He is the model car enthusiast. Who else in his position would give an open invitation to other Porschephiles to visit his garage and collection?
All the bashing and hating in this forum by some members is so tiresome, not just in this thread but others as well. Reminds me of high school teenage girls. We need more people like Rudy in the Porsche community and less drama. |

I wish this forum had a "like" button, Busta Rib hit it right on the nose. One of the reasons I don't spend that much time on here these days is because there are so many judgmental people who can't wait to rain on other peoples' parades.
