Per flat-6.net:

It looks like competition for the mini-Benz.

I have been unimpressed by this Cayenne thing, but I've tolerated. If I EVER see this.......thing.....on a public road, I will remove the Porsche crest from my hood.

MB sells a lot of these things over in Europe. (the competition no doubt)
They are very space efficient (read: Super won't need to worry about seeing a Porsche version here in the States)

I want one.

Cool.
When will it be available, and will a TT motor be on the option list?

Im sorry, but no, it would not matter if this thing was faster than a Boxster. If it beat John Force in a quarter mile, and also beat Michael Schumaker for the F1 title, I would still not accept it as a gift unless I could sell it without having to look at it.

Remember those SUVs we were talking about that dealers could hardly GIVE away? The ridiculously ugly ones? This looks to be the minivan version.

It's a freightening dream, but at least Porsche isn't actually producing that thing...at least not yet.

Jaguar is actually producing this thing:

Apologies to anyone who owns one, but this car is a ford with a Jaguar ornament on the hood. This picture tries to dress it up, in person it is clearly a ford.

I've always considered the classic Jags to be beautifull cars. This car is a crime. Nothing wrong with it, but don't call it a Jag.

I couldn't help but think about what the world would be like if Porsche was acquired and started doing the same.

Now i am all pissed off and have to go tinker with my good ole race car inspired 911SC.. and try to not think of myself getting spanked off the line by a punk a$$ kid in his moms Porsche MINI VAN!! laughing at me as i redline the ole gal in a last ditch effort to safe the ole 991's dignity!! .... i havn't read all the posts in the thread . Been gagging.

All I can say is these classics of ours are only going to get nicer and nicer as the corporate number crunchers keep driving visual design into the ground.

Yes, indeed--I'd rather hammer my testicles flat with a mallet than piss on one of those things--the same is true of a Cayenne, btw. Or, I'd rather eat a 924 than ever hear of them again.....

That Porsche didn't decide to do a nice 4-door and wagon instead of the Cayenne will always puzzle me. A 4-door Porsche could've been extremely cool and appropriate.

How Much Maintenance, Oh Cayenne, in Ten Years' Time with 130 K Miles..?

I'm filing this photo in the "highly-doubtful" category. Porsche (or any other car company) doesn't drive prototypes around with identifying badges conspicuously displayed. I see plenty of prototypes running the highways of Detroit metro - always in disguise. If this were real, it would be in heavy disguise. Look at the Cayenne spy photos over the past 2 years. It wasn't until just weeks before release that an undisguised version was photographed. And why is the license plate whited out? -- Curt

You've all been had, yet again. That was a photo from a car show a few years ago- some Japanese mfr. did that mockup as a joke.

Really! . . . they did a good job with the design elements. It looks just as ugly as the pepperwagen.
