Problems with idle- first 30seconds

Hello again,

I have another problem.
Car is 1983 Cabrio, sitting for many years...
When starting the car first time (after all night, outside temp around 60F-50F)
it is difficult to start, and after it starts - it runs very rough for about 30-40sec (very low idle... around 400-500, almost stalling). After 30-45 seconds suddenly idle goes to normal (about 950) and from that point it runs OK.
So far I change fuel pump and accumulator, all injectors, fuel distributor, WUR. Spark plugs and distributor cap is also new.
Any suggestions?
Can it be Cold Start valve? (how long is it active after cold start normally?)

Thanks,
Stan

CIS components.......

Stan,

What is the Bosch ID number on your WUR? It should be 0-438-140-xxx. The last 3 digits identify your particular WUR. Is it a -089 or -090? Thanks.

Tony

Hi Tony,

WUR # is 0438140 072, and it matches the fuel distributor (this car is from japanese market).

After the initial 30 seconds, the car runs fine, and next start is also ok.
I think it must me part of injection system that only activates at the cold start and stays on for short time....
the car has been sitting for about 8 years.
Thanks

Stan,

Could you share the fuel distributor ID you have? WUR-072 is for '80 CIS and it could work too. Measure the resistance (Ohms) of the WUR when it is cold like in the morning. Is your car/engine equipped with an OXS and using a lambda ECU? Keep us posted. Thanks.

Tony
