Love the build. Glade to see someone being creative in my back yard. What's up with the oil lines? Just dropped for easy access or replacing???

Replacing with Elephant racing center mounted oil cooler. Should have some more pics this week as the last of the parts get here.

ER front mounted oil cooler kit with finned lines, setrab cooler, air deflection panel, new thermostat, high clearance lines, crossover pipe and all install parts showed up today. Well needed as it gets hot here in Florida, especially down at Sebring when your running full out!

Also received the Rothsport lightweight fiberglass lamp buckets, supposedly saves around 6.5 lbs off the rear end. They are very very light. They accept the factory rubber seals and lenses.

Last but not least, Wevo classic shifter with precision shift joint and light weight shift knob. The car should go back together rather quickly now I'm hoping. SmileWavy

Nippy, where did you find these things? ROthsport doesn't list them on their website that I can find. I need a set!

How stout are the FG rear housings since they tend to get blasted by rocks thrown off the tires? Anybody else own these?

Nippy. I see you purchased a new thermostat with the oil lines. Do these go bad? Or is it just preventitive maintenance?

The last time we went through this we couldn't get the lines off the old thermo w/out damaging the thermo. Could have just been that specific car but it was corroded on the lines.. When I purchased everything this time, I bought the whole kit with oil lines and thermo. So figured why we are there I might as well go all the way. If the old one comes off smoothly, I will just put it up for sale as it works just fine. SmileWavy

I have the wevo classic shifter also, and love it. I also have the same center oil cooler and mounting brackets. Very nice solution. Great build. You have me thinking about my sunroof.

yeah, had one on my first track build and I cant imagine driving a 911 without it. Picked up some WEVO motor mounts today as well to further tighten up the shifting. SmileWavy

What helped you pick the Patrick roll bar? I like how it mounts, as the others mount to the floor pan... Patrick seems to give more room, and hides the bar better...

There is only one that I can think of that mounts to the floor and I think you see that one more because its cheap.. of course I can't remember the name right now... but ??

Last time I had one custom made and at $75 per hour I figured I could just grab this one and be done with it. Its in primer now ready for the grand prix white paint. Should look cool, and be SAFE more importantly.

nippy 04-04-2016 12:47 PM

Oil cooler front air deflection panel was welded in. Test fitted the ER Setrab front mount oil cooler and also the front bumper with cut out. Everything turned out nice. Front end metal going to be put into primer now.

No it will be in front like my old car. We will do some fiberglass work to make a lip within the square cut out to mount the screen to.

Found some cool "lightened" door handles on Fleabay. We snapped an internal pc. on my factory door handle, so I was poking around and found these. Ordered 2. Cool little touch.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1462815273.jpg

So I ordered an extra set of cushions for the Corbeau seats. I'm going to have them covered in either the tartan shown here or the Hounds tooth. Will use these for cars and coffee or car shows and use the standard black for normal driving and track use.

Love the seats from my last car. That's why I'm using them again in this car, very lightweight as well.

I like that solution. I am not 100% happy with the under seat options.
