Good idea Jamie.
I'll know Saturday, if I can come out and play. Right now the 911s' insurance is on hold. (A seasonal thing) I think I can re-activate on a Saturday, but not certain. I'll drop you an email tomorrow AM.

Hmmm....
I'd love to go...but, as I already told Island (thanks for the call BTW)....
Sunday morning I'll instead be driving the family up into the mountains in the Ford "Exponential" to search for the perfect X-Mas tree. If I see you guys I'll be sure to drive real slow while chatting on the cell phone....got to keep the SUV image up you know.... Have a good time. Marc

Still, I'd rather be straffing the backroads up to Mt. Rainier with Jamie and Island than cutting down a Christmas tree....yep, I'm selfish that way....so the wife tells me anyway!

I didn't even mention this late Fall drive to the poor 'ol Blue Bomber.
Without her motor in the engine room, she is utterly depressed. Soothing words of comfort were spoken to her as I worked on the motor this afternoon. I showed her the box of new Mahle P's & C's...that seemed to lift her spirits a bit Have fun guys, and think about the "shut-ins".

No worries though, because once she's up and runnin' again it'll be just about time for the 1st Pre-Drive of the 2nd Annual RoundUp route! That is, if your interested in pre-running....

Pre-run?
Most definitely! The motor should be nicely broken in by that time.

PIR Spring Vintage Weekend?
Doug,
Do you remember when the Spring Sovern Vintage races are? If it's late enough in the year then perhaps one of those days could be spent watching and one could be spent driving.....just a thought.

I'm up for anything like that.
I'd also suggest a nice overnight stop near a good brew pub, if you could find one. SOVREN should be posting the '03 schedule on their webpage sometime soon.

Hood River is where I had tennatively planned the 2nd Annual CanAm SCWDP Rainforest Region RoundUp to overnight. Perhaps you could email me with some more information? I'm looking for a nice place to overnight that's within walking distance or a short drive of said brew pubs. A small contingent of us will be pre-driving the route this spring....maybe we could meet with you then to, ahh....sample the local flavors?

A great morning for Church
At least Jamie & I made it.
Even with the icey roads. . . We kept going. Past the golden fields. . . When SUDDENLY we ran in to the local religion. . . We didn't care to be at the bottom of the totem-poles so we moved on. Up and up, we climbed. . . Until we arrived at the Cathedral Gates. . . We passed through, and arrived at our destination. . . ![]() . . .a few more to follow. . .

Yeah Marc. . .we saw a parade of 7 SUV's with trees strapped to their roofs turn out, right in front of us. . .and then seem to take offence to being passed.
One joker in a ford exploder, twitched over the yellow line when he saw I was going to pass . . .then he tried to race Jamie when he went to pass. A Big ol' tree strapped to his wagen. . .I couldn't help but think of a PO'd Clark Griswold behind the wheel. Ha haha. . .Merry christmas a%*%#hole. . .hahaha. Anyway, more picks, check out the road, from the road (look to the right) The sumit For those whom enjoy "looking down on SC's. . . ![]() Jamie, your going to want the full size of this pic Might I add, SSi's & Dansk puts out a damn nice note against these walls :-D Jamie was goofing around. . .trying to get the back end to come around. . .llike the sign says, at 20MPH :-D ![]() Another Mnt shoot. . . Ranger Rick came to check us for chains ![]() ![]() A very fun morning! . . .and made it back by noon --W'hoo!

Hey Glen,
Glad you could make it! Those photos captured the spirit of the morning for sure. You're right, I do want a full sized version of that shot. PPBBS, Glen is the ONLY person I know who can drive a 911 at 75 mph around a curve with his knees whilst taking pictures out of his sun roof - simply amazing.
