Weber Engine Cut Off

I started to experience a issue with cold starting. When the engine turns over it starts up and idles fine, but once I give it gas the engine will die. Any ideas?

Ideas:

Fuel pump/supply is suspect. Could be electrically or mechanically-based.
Can you observe fuel pressure while engine runs?
Can you test static fuel pressure, fuel pressure volume?
Remote possibility the fuel filter is creating blockage

Mine does this as well on really cold days. I turn the car to the run position so the pump runs and then I hold my foot on the gas for 10 sec 3 times until the float bowels are full. After that it fires up and I let it idle for about a min then I am good to go.

Same here, let the fuel pump run for a bit before firing it up. Then let it warm up for a minute or two before hitting the gas pedal.

Few cars are inherently designed to normally operate in the manners described. In addition, it looks like PemzOr is in So. Cal., hardly cold weather territory unless hell froze over without me knowing. As he suspects, somethings isn't right.
