Headlight trim ring screw
Does anyone know the size of the little screw that secures the headlight trim ring to the headlight screw? I'm installing new trim rings, but they didn't come with the retaining screw.

I think our host actually sells those as a separate item. As I remember, they aren't too bad price wise. Mic's as and M4x10 long thread. Philips head and machine head by the look.

I believe the part you are looking for is 900 270 063 07, assuming you have H5 trim rings. Note however, that you need to pay attention to the note and to the reviews in the part description. The part Pelican supplies is M5 x 18 mm. This was too short for my 1988, which uses a 27 mm I believe. If you have the old ones measure them before ordering new.

What I measured is the screw on my H4 Rings. The "upgrade" our host sells when ditching the H5's. I believe its, Part #: 911-631-132-00-M260 Cost is $1/ea.

Believe you also need to purchase the screw on the right (above) to install the trim ring, it has a female thread that accepts the screw that holds on the trim ring -- the screw used on sugar scoops in this position is a normal screw

Found a replacement
Yep, it's the little one that fits inside the main retaining screw.
I needed it by Saturday, so I went and found a match at Fastenal. For anyone who needs a fast replacement, here's the one I went with. I just painted it guards red and it's pretty much invisible. Sorry if the picture is sideways ![]()

I love Pelican and buy quite a bit from them but you guys do know that it's absolute lunacy to order every single bolt, especially if you need it yesterday from them. True Value, Ace or any other local mom and pop hardware store is going to have the bold you need.
I bought an allen head stainless steel one for that application for $0.45. |

You got it.
That is the size screw you need. But instead of a hex head bolt, you can use a stainless steel pan head phillips screw. M4 0.7 pitch 10mm long . Both screws are stainless steel. |
