Quick help needed..........hex plug size for tranny
 
I'm changing my tranny fluid today and I need to know what size is the hex plugs for both the drain and filler. Your prompt response is greatly appreciated.

Aluminum hex recess plugs take a 17 mm Allen drive bit commonly considered a special tool for air-cooled VW transaxles.

Steel hex-head plugs take a 19 mm socket, or you can use your lug wrench!

And water cooled. The wrench I got for my '69 bug also fit my '84 Rabbit and now fits my '83 SC.
