Post MIRRORS DONT WORK

The mirrors on my 82 SC (RHD) don't work. The left one worked now and then but only in one direction & when the heated rear screen was on. Turned out that the wiring inside the mirror was wrong and the wires for the heated mirror glass had been put on to the motor. While the wiring was wrong, I was getting a voltage accross a couple of the terminals at the connector at the switch (heated rear screen on). I have fixed it so that my heated mirrors work on both sides now but I don't get a voltage at the switch connector anymore. I think the fuse for the mirrors is no14 and the black and violet wire coming from it is the one for the mirrors mirrors but if the heating function works then there must be a connection. If anyone can help I would be most grateful.

This is a diagram of how my mirrors are wired. (I hate electrics)

Hello

Check your wireloom for cracks at the gap between door an door post.

The tech section has a 81 SC wire shematic.

Also the pre 85 mirrors have only one motor and a selenoid to switch the direction.
They do fail to
