911 Model keeps profits rolling
This add is in the bussiness section of the paper today, Defying the global economic downturn and a stock market collapse that decimated the portfolios of many of its best customers, German automaker Porsche Said yesterday that it sold more of its top-end sports cars in the last fiscal year than any other year. Led by sales of its 911 turbo model , witch has a retail price of $115,000, Porsche posted a record pretax proft of $830 millon on sales of $4.87 billion in it's fiscal year 2002 results Porsche's overall sales declined 0.6 percent But sales of its Flagship 911 line , which generates most of it's profits and was updated in 2001 with several new models jumped 21 percent.
