What type of paint was originally used on my 1983 911SC? Single stage, or base plus clear coat? I'm considering my touch up options.

Sorry, I left out an important detail. The car is silver, I believe pewter metallic is the proper name?

Two stage, base+clear. If you enter the door jamb color code into the Glasurit website, it will give you everything you need.
