First open 901 cabriolet : checking out early history

In a fancy very slick British magazine called Total 911, (at Barnes & Noble now) there is a story on the first open 911 prototype, a 1964 manufactured prototype

SN 1455743

which they call a 901, which was apparently sold off because Porsche decided to do a targa instead.
The car was bought by Manfred Freisinger between 1966 and 1967. Then it went to Myron Vernis of Akron Ohio. I am interested in hearing what Manfred Freisinger had to pay Porsche for it, but will be happy to hear Vernis purchase price if the first price from Porsche isn't available. Alex Karadis bought it next and restored it but for history, I only focus on that time period when a particular car was available at a bargain price before its provenance was recognized. If I do an article I will be glad to quote you and mention your business if it's Porsche related
