Southwoods Auto Transport, anyone used them?
I'm getting a car brought from DC to NJ, yes I know it's not far, I was all set to drive it when this storm arrived, along with the snow goes the road salt.
Nearly all the quotes I got were from brokers, as I understand the system it seems that the car is taken from it's old home to a terminal where it waits for another truck to take it to another terminal from there it is delivered to my place. I got a quote from Southwoods (found him from a classic car web site) who does it in one go, pick up and drop off same day. Not the cheapest, but I like the idea of once on a trailer and once off. Has anyone used this guy? Thanks Jeff 911T |

Haven't used those guys, but I had a good experience with Big Sky Express. They are based in Montana but have trucks running all over. www.bigskyexpress.com. Door to door, family owned, etc...
If I ever have another car hauled, it will be these guys. THe driver carries a cell phone, you can call him at any time just to check in... They'll call you at pickup, movement, etc...
