pic updates and a wiper update

Been a while and instagram is just too easy to update pics on. Plus this forum still doesn't like iPhone pics...anyway

Had a knocking issue with the cheap Deutscheparts camber plates I picked up. They are made ok, but you have to chase all the threads to get rid of the powdercoat and one of the bearing failed in about 100 miles. The bearings are crap. I got a set of teflon lined motorsports bearings for $65 that should be great. They will be for sale soon as I ordered some Taretts to replace them. Here are some comparo pics. Also a little cruise with my daughter. Looks like Ireland, but its actually in the hills of Livermore, CA

Wiper Reversal

I also decided to reverse my wipers and go to a single for a different look and better visibility. I cheated and just popped out the speedo, turned the wipers on and then cut the ignition when they were all the way to the right. Removed the 10mm nut and arm, turned the ignition back on and let the wiper motor park. reinstalled the nut and arm and then fine tuned the wiper arm. I bent the previously straight arm to get the blade to sit flush on the trim. I then tried a 16, a 19 and settled for an 18"

The wipe pattern is actually quite good. I just need to clean up the unused stalk somehow, but I think I have an idea.

Nice update LCE. When I bought my 75 the wipers parked to the right. I like that feature. You could consider putting the second wiper back on because it isn't really visible from the driver's POV as its hidden by the left wiper which sits higher. Now, I will give you a 'close, but no cigar' award for the Ireland mention. As a CA implant born and bred in Ireland those pics are missing the ubiquitous stone walls and a couple of donkeys :-)
