Repair Vinyl Scrapes?

I'm restoring the doors on my '82 911SC to the original interior door panels and pockets. I found a complete set interior panels, pockets, pulls, etc. that are for the most part in same-as-new condition!
I've been prepping the parts for installation and of course, now I'm down to the nit-picky stuff! The driver's door pocket has some minor scrapes along the edge where the vinyl fabric trim wraps over the edge of the pocket:

Does anybody know a technique or product to fill or smooth-out the scraped areas? I'm experienced with the use of SEM products such as Texture and Color Coat and figured a refinish with Color Coat would at least improve the appearance, but ideally it would be nice to have a smooth surface to start with!
Any ideas?
