Location of temperature sender on a '67 case?

Question for the collective. I'm mostly on 914 World, but seeking older 911 experts.
I'm installing a carbed 2.4L in my 914. I've learned what sender I need for my
combo gauge. I would love some info and some pics of where the temperature
sender mounts. This is a aluminum '67 case. The rest of the motor is configured
like a '73 (euro) Zenith carbed engine.

Don't have a photo handy, but the temp sensor threads into a hole just to the right of the fan housing, where the right side cam oil line attaches. It faces towards the rear of the car.

Oh, but when installed in your 914 it will be to the left of the fan housing, facing towards the firewall, and not super convenient to get to.

Thanks Daves911L. I really appreciate that. I've been combing google images. Some point to the area you state. Just wanted to make sure it was appropriate for the '67 case. Seems like
Porsche moved them around a lot over the years. Thanks again. A photo from
this forum would be appreciated.
Cheers,Dion
