Best Jacking Point For A 1969 Using Floor Jack?

Ok I have to get this passenger side rear tire off of my 69 912 tommorow. The only jack I have is a really small 2-Ton floor jack.

I don't have one of the fancy jack plate tools so I am going to have to jack the car up with just the floor jack?

Where do I need to position the jack to keep from having any damage? Could I put it right on the torsion tube or whatever it's called in the back?

Sorry for my ignorance.

Just don't want to mess up!

You don't need a fancy jack plate tool ( it's easy to make one if you happen to have a welder though ). You could just use a length of 3/4" sturdy square tubing with maybe a piece of 2x4 between it and the jack pad. Just be careful that the tubing is not slipping, and that you put the jack as close to the opening as you can. You are just going to swap tires, right? You should put a jackstand underneath the car( inner torsion bar tube ) before you remove the wheel though.
