CIS from a different angle

Helping a friend with a Delorean. Fuel distributor completely clogged up. The CIS system is similar to that used on a 911 but has some peculiar differences, for example the emissions sticker calls for CO setting for each bank. Delorean has true dual exhausts and an O2 sensor in each bank. The manual he has is a volvo service manual, section 2(23) which just deals with the CI Fuel System. He downloaded it from this site, http://blog.designed79.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/Volvo-CIFuelSystem-Secton2_ex23.pdf. They refer to CIS as a "constant idle speed system" Check out the manual it is the most through explanation of the system and its components I have ever seen.

interesting reading. I will have to spend more time reading it later,.

if the FD is clogged, just send it off to larry at flowtech.

I don't know how CIS can adjust 2 banks unless there are 2 CIS systems. (2 AFM, FD, frequency valve). you may just have to adjust for the best average of the 2 sides. that's more or less how any CIS car with a common exhaust is done, its the average of all cylinders
