What are those seats?

Hi everyone,
I'm Andi from Switzerland and I'm waiting for the dealer to get my new (and first) 1980 911 SC ready for delivery (I will get a refurbished gearbox).

The vinyl/pasha trim is in good shape except for two open threads on in the driver's seat. Looking for a place to have this fixed led me to a hundred different websites and forums like this one. So now I'm between a) just fixing it, b) new seat covers, c) new seats (maybe different trim also) and d) different seats.

As far as different seats go, the 80s BMW M3 ones seem to be a popular choice. I found a pair locally but I can't tell what exact model they might be. They do look like Recaros but I couldn't find the exact trim matching.

Doe anyone have an idea based on the pictures?

Best
Andi

In general terms the Recaro LS seats are the "popular" items, particularly from that era. This particular seat does not look like a Recaro LS seat.

Here is a picture of the LS seats in my 911. i believe they are LS-C seats to be exact.

Those look like Recaro LXes save for the non-adjustable thigh support, so perhaps they are (newer) Recaro SEs, which IIRC were like simpler LXes. The headrests, wherever they came from, are not Recaro. Perhaps they are non-Recaros, but the details at the backrest pivot look Recaro.

Thanks for your input!

I'll keep looking for something nice to come along.
The best and most original would be to fix the original seat covers. I'm just not sure how lasting this will be with the softener in the vinyl disapearing after all those years.
