Porsche Crest Need help! need info on my porsche

Just purchased a 1976 Porsche that was in a farm. Owners friend said it was a 4 cyl. but car is running on a 2.7. VIN # 9116200346. i have done research on it and it shows it is a 1976 911 (dont know how to tell difference, if any, between 911E and 911G model)

Post pictures. Sometimes when the 2.7 engines went bad guys put 914 type IV engines in them. But your car shouldn't have a 2.7

But that's a 3.0 Carrera vin. That's kind of a valuable car, especially if the engine is still there.

Thats a US '76 911S coupe which came with a 165BHP 2.7 engine. Depending on condition, it could be worth a good bit of money now in today's market.

No US Carrera's in 76 so 91164xxxx wouldn't have been used. Carrera's would be 91166xxxx
