My trip to the Experience Center
I knocked off early from a business trip in Atlanta, and found my way to the Experience Center by the airport. The track looked awesome, but you must book in advance, so something to add to the bucket list! Figured I'd share some pics from the visit. Enjoy!

Sweet! I'm going in a couple of weeks. There is a local guy that set up a group trip. I just happened to hear about it from a friend and signed up. It filled up super fast. There is a tour of the museum and the restoration center, lunch at the restaurant and time in a simulator.
I'll PM you the info on the guy that organizes this stuff so you can get on his email list. It's not through PCA. I'm told he organizes P-car only drives through the north Georgia mountains.

Thanks.
It's also worth it to Google "The Experience Center - Atlanta". Very informative. I'd not heard of these centers before this post. Tom |

ATL Pelicans (and anyone that wants to make the drive), I just got an email from the guy that runs PCAR Touring that due to overwhelming demand they have opened a 2nd date for the experience center tour. Details below...
=== pasted from email === Due to the overwhelming demand and quick sellout of PCAR Touring's Group visit to the Porsche Experience Center on March 5th, we have scheduled an second like event for Saturday, April 9th to hopefully accommodate everyone that wants to visit the Porsche’s new facility. On Saturday, April 9th, PCAR Touring will be hosting it’s second group visit to the new Porsche North America Experience Center here in Atlanta The Center - Home - Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG. This is the planned agenda for our PCAR Porsche Experience Center visit: 11:00 - 11:30 -Group Arrival 12:00 - 1:00 – Driving Simulator Competition (Hot Seat rides for those who have Hot Seat Tickets) 1:30 - 2:45 – Group Lunch at 356 Club 2:45 - 4:30 - Tour of One Porsche Center. Tour the new facility and museum including the Classic Car Gallery & Restoration Center with it’s two levels of exhibition space, reference material, workshop, lounge area and storage space. Here, you can purchase high-end storage for your own collection and park them amongst legendary classics on loan from the Porsche Museum and private collections around the world. Individual time on the Porsche driving simulators configured to mimic the handling of a 919, 917 or a 911 RSR. PCAR Touring group lunch at the 356 Club over looking the driver development track where if you wish you can choose from 77 different Porsches to play with. The 1.6 mile circuit is technical and tight - more akin to an autocross than an all out racing circuit - this most drivers will find challenging and rewarding. Besides the twists and turns, Porsche included a Kick Plate, Skid Pad, Off-Road course, Dynamic Area and a series of low friction handling curves that will widen even the most serious driver's smile. Sorry, no track drive time is included in our event, but it is still great fun to watch others experience the track from our lunch location in the 356 Club. Lunch Menu will be as follows: Choice of GA APPLE SALAD or SOUP OF THE DAY Choice of SHRIMP CAESAR SALAD (Baby Kale, Cherry Tomatoes, Onion, Egg, Parmesan- Reggiano, Smoked Paprika Croutons) or KOBE BEEF BURGER (Gruyere Cheese, Baby Arugula, Wild Mushrooms, Smoked Paprika Aioli, House-made Potato Chips). Meal includes coffee, tea and soft drinks with beer, liquor and wine being individually paid for. Event cost is inclusive, no additional tipping is necessary at the 356 Club. Registration is limited to 40 individuals (2 per registration), Individuals must be at least 18 years of age to attend, at $64.50 per person. Cost includes facility tour, simulator time and lunch at 356 Club including tip. Slots will be taken up quickly so sign up early. Of course this is a PORSCHE ONLY event… Additionally, there is the option to sign up for "HOT SEAT" rides with a Porsche Professional Driver as the passenger in one of Porsche's High Performance Cars. (minimum age for HOT SEAT ride is 21 years of age). Cost: $52.00 per person Registration is at: Second - Visit Porsche Atlanta Experience Center info on Apr 9, 2016 (983866) | MotorsportReg.com
