Windscreen washer motor replacement

Have looked for some details on this R&R for a 2006 911 but could not find much. Here is a quick, how to. Plus the washer motor(s) are available at Pelican for a very resonable price.

1. Remove Drv side tire
2. Remove interior fender skirt (4) T20 torque screws and (3) 10mm nuts
3. Drain tank if full. A ~$6 pump from harbor feight works great..
4. Remove plastic cover over washer tank filler
5. Remove (13mm) bolt from top of washer tank.
6. Snap out the two hoses on the tank. You do not have to remove, just unclip.
7. Tank is now loose so remove tank filler tube (just pull out horizonally)
8. Two remaining plugs fit into the rear of the fender well, just pull tank out.
9. There are two washer motors, one for the headlights (if you have) and one for the windshield wiper washer. Remove the latter from the tank.
10. Remove the polarized connector from top of pump (lift tab straight up and connector comes right off)
11. Pull pump from Tank and install new one ($17.95 at Pelican)

Best way to reinstall tank is to fit it with the two studs in the back. Might take some pressure but you know its inserted with the top bolt hole lines up with the hole in the fender.

Best way I found to put the inner fender skirt back on is to start from front and make sure the outside edge fits into the fender. Also, make sure the skirt fits over the three studs in the fender before attaching the torque screws.

That's about it. 1st attempt took a couple of hours, fighting this and that. Second time was about 20 minutes each, off/on.
