Question concerning options on an '85 Carrera
When I recently purchased my '85 Targa it came with a great deal of paperwork but no window sticker. Is there any easy way of determining the options the car originally came with ? Is there possibly a trim tag on the car showing the various option codes ? If so, where is it located ?
Thanks, Ron |

Look for a strip of paper glued to the underside of the hood. It's pretty small and just has a list of numbers. Also, there may be a sticker on the warranty book if you have it.

Unfortunately there is no strip of paper on the underside of the hood and the sticker was never put in the warranty manual. Do dealerships keep copies of window stickers ? I know where the car was purchased originally.

Next best thing will probably be the "Certificate of Authenticity" from Porsche.
Here's a recent thread on the topic: Improved Cert of Authenticity |

If you have your owners manual, the information is in there also.
