Does anyone know of software available to John Q. Public (me) like the Porsche Dealers have that explodes Porsche components and gives part numbers? Seems like that would be useful for many reasons.

I actually us the acrobat file tech manual more than I do PET.

PET is a little cumbersome because I have to reset the resolution on my comp to use it.
What's this acrobat file and where did you find it?

it's all the porsche repair books (5 Vols) in acrobat .pdf form..was able to download it from KaZaa. Pretty good stuff.:D
