How to remove front turn signal reflector?

Hey, all -

I searched for this and I couldn't find anything that directly discussed this.

I noticed that I one of my front running lights is really dim compared to the other one. My first thought is bad ground. (every time I think I have fixed all the bad grounds a new one seems to pop up -- it's like playing whack-a-ground! )

Anyway, when I took the lens cover off I found that all of the reflective coating is gone so I was going to try to refurb it while I check the wiring on the back. I removed the one obvious screw but when I pull on the reflector it doesn't want to move. It wobbles a bit but it feels like something is still holding it in place.

Before I just give it a yank (get your mind out of the gutter, Ronnie!) and risk breaking it, is there some trick to getting it out?

Thanks in advance.

You have to remove the bumper to get the light fixture out. Its a pain in the horses behind. On the plus side you'll get about 3lbs of dirt out of the car and be able to clean up all the ground points in the area.

Dammit.

Thanks for the answer, though!

Side light? 2 nuts on studs to remove. I was able to remove mine and install the euro rubber pieces with the bumper in place. All by feel, tough to see...

Not the Euro side lights like yours if that's what you're talking about.

I just went an opened up the other one and it popped out easily. I had already put new terminals on all those connections and cleaned everything up but I had forgotten that I had done that.

Let me go back and try the other one again. I don't need to get the whole housing out, just the bulb housing/reflector doohickey.

The other one felt like something was going to break off and I couldn't pull it back even far enough to see what might be binding it.

I did pull the right rear tail light housing this weekend. That was a fun job. Cleaned up the ground connection between the oil tank and the tail light housing. I should post the pics of that one.

I was referencing the US running lights in the bumper.
From this look after being federalized.

Right. The lens cover came off with no problem (2 screws). There is one screw that holds the reflector/bulb holder in. One side was easy, the other is putting up a fight.

Thats funny, I have a black coupe with red interior and I did the euro front bumper look as well.
