Ivory Towers
" Oh, and as for my qualifications, I'm the President & CEO of a Wall Street investment firm and a Professor of Economics at a major university. "
" Some food for thought, and something I drill into my students: You are paid what you're worth. " With those comments then you are telling the investors of Enron and Worldcom that both Ken Lay and Bernie Ebbers were paid what they were worth ? I would also think that those investors would dissent the old adage " paid what you your're worth ". adage. Finally, let's not forget the last place Texas Rangers and their star A Rod. The economies of compensation are probably the most inefficient a measurement of productivity and value there ever was. Finally same holds true for a two union mechanics at the Porsche dealership. One is an ace that can diagnose and fix any complicated problem in short order. The other is scatterbrained, slow and rarely follows through with a complete repair order. Yet they are both paid exactly the same. Who is worth more ? nuff said |
