Correct me if I'm wrong, but the ideal sporty setup for a newer G series like my '87 targa would best be the 16" 7in front, 8in rear phones. 951.362.114.00 and 116.00 respectively. Both with 23.2 ET. I'd prefer not to get involved with spacers.
I suppose those phones are hard to find and expensive. |

Sped, have been going through wheel fitment myself. "Sport setup" sounds subjective, but I used this guide (courtesy Bill Verburg):

Very subjective! I guess i consider sport as 7s and 8s vs the stock 6s and 7s the car came with. Offsets are more aggressive, pushing the wheels out further and the tires 205 and 225 mount more square/straight on the sidewalls rather than the classic bubble look.
I have some 911 7's and 8's fuchs to go on and would look to sell the 6's and 7's fuchs on the car right now but I came across that picture and just dig it. Re-thinking my direction. Thanks for the link-great wheel info! |
